吴宗翰 新加坡象棋总会学务主任拜访汪老是学园

Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting 汪老师 Chinese Tuition Centre to introduce the ancient and strategic Chinese board game of Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) to a group of young students, ranging from 7 to 16 years old. As a SEA Games Champion and Xiangqi International Grandmaster, I was excited to share my knowledge and passion for this incredible game with the next generation.

It was truly a fruitful experience. For many of these students, this was their first introduction to Xiangqi. Throughout the session, I was able to guide them through the basic rules and strategies of the game, while also sharing stories about its rich history and cultural significance. Seeing their eyes light up as they grasped the concepts and began to enjoy the game was incredibly rewarding.

Xiangqi is not just a game; it’s a tool that helps develop critical thinking, concentration, and strategic planning, all of which are important skills for young minds to nurture. By engaging with Xiangqi, students also gain a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture and heritage.

This event is part of my ongoing efforts to promote Xiangqi to younger audiences and make it accessible to all. It is my hope that through such activities, we can inspire more students to take an interest in Xiangqi, further developing the game and preserving this wonderful tradition.

昨天，我有幸参观了汪老师学园中文补习中心，向一群年龄在7到16岁的年轻学生介绍古老而具战略性的中国棋类游戏——象棋。作为东南亚运动会冠军和象棋国际特级大师，我非常兴奋能够与下一代分享我对这款精彩游戏的知识和热情。

这次经历非常有意义。对于许多学生来说，这是他们第一次接触象棋。在整个过程中，我能够指导他们了解游戏的基本规则和策略，同时分享象棋丰富的历史和文化意义。看到他们在理解概念并开始享受游戏时眼中的光芒，令我感到非常欣慰。

象棋不仅仅是一种游戏；它是一种帮助培养批判性思维、专注力和战略规划的重要工具。这些都是年轻人应该培养的重要技能。通过参与象棋，学生们也能更深刻地了解中国文化和传统。

此次活动是我推广象棋给年轻观众并让其变得更加普及的持续努力的一部分。我希望通过这样的活动，能够激发更多学生对象棋的兴趣，进一步发展这项游戏并传承这一美好的传统。
